AMAG Automobil-und Motoren AG imports and distributes the Volkswagen, VW Commercial Vehicle, Škoda, SEAT as well as (since 1967) the Audi brands of vehicle. Since then over half a million vehicles bearing the four rings have been sold in Switzerland. In 2011 Audi attained a market share of 5.8%. This makes it the most successful brand in the premium segment and the second-best selling brand in general, behind its sister company Volkswagen.
